For the most part, Arkham Asylum is an original storyline. However, it borrowed certain elements and characters from two other graphic novels:



The first is Grant Morrison's Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth. In which there is a riot, The Joker takes control of the asylum and Batman must face him and all of his other villains alone.



The second is Arkham Asylum: Living Hell, which is a little bit more recent and gives an in depth view on life in Arkham Asylum. Some of the characters like Aaron Cash in the game were created in this comic, and there are a number of other little references to the comic in there.



But like I said, for the most part, Arkham Asylum is an original work that just borrows some plot elements from the two Arkham Asylum graphic novels.What are the issues of comic called that the game "Batman Arkham Asylum" is based on?
